This really is more than just doing art.  It's an experience in our rustic and picturesque coastal village of Kakanui with a bespoke tour of the Waitaki Valley, Otago, New Zealand.   Your time will be spent in a welcoming and relaxing environment, perfect to tap into your creative side.

We look after very small groups - no more than 2-4 people, so you get the attention you deserve.  The packages are suitable for non-artists with an interest in being creative, or artists wanting to learn new mediums or focus on abstract art styles.

You can stay in a delightful Kakanui beachfront vacation home with coastal and country views, or 10 mins away in studio accommodation on the waterfront in Oamaru where you're within walking distance of local cuisine in award-winning venues.   

We include a Private Guided Tour, where we can look at diverse local landscapes through an artist's eye.  Our art & travel packages allow you to explore the local area which includes Whitestone UNESCO Geopark, Waitaki Lakes and Clay Cliffs in MacKenzie Basin, while experiencing rich local creativity.

By the end of your stay, you'll have completed two unique artworks & your very own hand-crafted pottery, all created in a fun supportive environment. Explore the world of abstract art while mastering the essential elements that bring it to life, and then dive into a hands-on pottery experience. The workshops are fun and short , leaving time for discovery.  We'll even send your masterpieces home, ready to take pride of place in your home!
